Level 18 unlocks the Vintage Tractor on Golden, which is your second 3x6 footprint decoration. I think at this point in the game, it is worth boxing up some of your smaller 3x3 decorations and replacing them with the slightly better 3x6 decorations. That small boost in happiness per area does add up over time.
Copper Ridge receives its second crop of Hot Peppers.
The game introduces a Fishing Mini Game, and I think it is pretty well done. Fishing is located on the island just offshore from Sundale. When you click on the Fishing Icon over the small boat, you will be able to drive the boat around by tapping on the screen or using the onscreen 'joystick'. Look for the dark shadows of fish in the water and tap the fishing rod to start fishing. Cast your line 3-5 body lengths in front of the fish - too close and you'll scare it, too far and it won't come for a nibble. A little trick is to throw it slightly off from directly in front and the fish will turn to indicate it has seen the lure. It will come and nibble 4-7 times (without upgrades), before it pulls the bobber down and starts splashing. Once it has bit, tap the screen multiple times to reel it in. The 'tap' is registered when you lift your finger, so if you tap too soon, you can just hold the screen and release at the right time.
To start, you get 5 lures that regenerate once every 30 mins (top of screen), and a cooler that holds 5 fish to later be sold at the crane.

As you fish around the island, inside the roped off area, you will slowly discover many different kinds of fish, with different rarities and weights. Each fish can also have 3 different levels of rarities. Inside the fishing interface, there is a Fishing Encyclopedia on the bottom right that slowly fills with data on your different catches as you fish around the island. Once you have caught a particular fish from enough areas, you will get an image of its shadow size (current bug is not rendering this in game) and clues about where to find them.

I can tell you right now, that until you open up more fishing areas, all of the fish are so common, you can find them anywhere. If you are really avid, you can hunt down Catfish sized shadows to increase your chances of this rare catch.
After you are done and your cooler is full, boat over to the crane on the dock and tap the Fillet icon. Here you can sell your catches for Fillets. If you are lucky enough to catch an increased rarity of a fish (remember they have 3 levels), you will get additional fillets (x3 for the first increase) and a small prize (usually a fine seed).
Also on the dock, you will find an upgrade shop (unlocked at Level 25) and a Fish Market.
The Fish Market sells 6 items that rotate every day. Generally, you will find 2 tackle boxes that are similar to Mystery Chests, a Flag (Level 21) and fine or instant feeds and seeds. Fishing is simple, so these items are pricy. Unless I see something I really really want, I save my fillets for Level 25 when upgrades become available. Faster fishing, more lures and larger cooler, and areas with rarer fish, will improve your ability to collect fillets, but they range from 15,000 to 30,000 to upgrade. I would have no problem hitting Level 25 with 60,000 fillets on hand.
Your Daily Quests will now include a Catch Fish quest every day that rewards 2 Fine lures. There is no limit on Fine lures. I would strongly suggest you store up your fine lures for the following events:
