Land is the most valuable asset in the game. Sundale, your first Homestead, has the cheapest land, by far. Naturally, people want to expand, and they go right for the cheapest piece of land on Sundale. The problem is that no buildings are introduced on Sundale between Level 6 - Tomato Grove and Level 35 - Pancake house. So why would you spend all of your expansion resources on a Homestead with no new buildings? (I know, it's fun to have 15 fields for guild projects.)
Level 20 to Level 35:
* You will want multiples.
The game wants you to sink your resources into Sundale where it's cheap, and then be forced to spend real money when you can't expand on Golden Hills and Copper Ridge, yet really need the space.
It does suck when you can buy 3 expansions on Sundale but you are saving up 7 million coins for an expansion on Golden Hills. Your future farm will thank you for your discipline today. Always look forward to see where you will need land, and focus on expansion there first. You can expand on Sundale once all 3 Homesteads are established. (Think around mid Level 30.)
